You may have some questions about what we do here at Tropicana West Chiropractic. We’ve made a list of the most common questions people have about chiropractic care to give you the information you need.

Can chiropractic help me?

An advantage to our care is that we’ll only move forward from your free consultation if we feel that chiropractic care will help you. If you don’t see results, we won’t ask you to continue seeing us. We’ll work with you towards constant improvement, and we’re able to refer you out or recommend appropriate testing to help you resolve your problems.

Once I start chiropractic care, do I always have to go?

What you receive from chiropractic care is your choice. If you want symptomatic relief, you’re welcome to come in anytime you’re experiencing pain symptoms. Many choose to use chiropractic as a part of a general health program to increase their well-being. It can be an active part of your life and bring you many benefits. It’s entirely up to you!

Does chiropractic hurt?

Many people have questioned the cracking or popping noises during a chiropractic adjustment. Although you may hear a sound, there is no pain associated with it. We’ll walk you through the whole process before starting any chiropractic care. You’ll have every concern addressed. Our care is gentle and soft, and we’ll only proceed if you’re comfortable and we feel we can help you.

Does insurance cover chiropractic?

Each individual insurance plan is different. Insurance will typically cover chiropractic to some extent. We’ll verify your benefits in our office before proceeding so you’ll know what your coverage is before deciding to continue. However, please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee what your insurance company tells us.

I’ve had back surgery. Should I see a chiropractor?

We’ve had surgeons refer their patients to us for post-surgical visits. One particularly memorable patient had gone through four back surgeries by age 36. He’d had enough of surgery but was still in great pain, so his surgeon asked us to try and help him. His pain was decreased significantly by receiving chiropractic care after his surgery.
